Problems that I faced as a Student

We responded thunderously, this was just our orientation day in my first year in school, and we were addressed by the deans and all other staff. We got to know about the Faculty which is engineering and also the departments with their respective fields. I didn't know what I signed in for but we were all students and we are to learn and progress in the field.

The first semester was a bit tough and stressful, we were just new to the system but the workload was already much for us, all we had to do was cope and study well for our upcoming exams. I would say there was not enough time to read all the schemes if you didn't start reading when the lectures began. Most of us were trying to cover up the schemes as we had back-to-back exams, we wrote our mathematics examination on the first day and followed the flow, it was nearly impossible to help your friend because there questions were different types.

We had sleepless nights because after an exam you will probably have to read for the next exams. We looked so exhausted but a few students were a bit relaxed because they had studied their books from the first lecture day while we were waiting for the Examination period so we could cover up all at once. I didn't even prepare for my drawing exams, due to the large number we have in my department, we were divided into batches and I was in the second batch so I had to write around 10 Am while the first batch had theirs around 8.

We all came in early so we could at least practice two drawings, we were hanging around the drawing studio and we had a chance to see the drawings that were given to the first batch, we rushed to class and checked our drawing textbooks which we found the exact drawing, we studied the drawing properly that we could even draw without its measurements. Their time was up and we all marched into the hall as we prepared our drawing tools waiting for our Invigilator.

The questions were shared from the first row and I would say their face changed at that instant, they turned quickly looking at us in the other row. I was flabbergasted upon seeing their facial expressions, the scripts reached my table and all I could say at the moment was "Wow". The hope I had was that we did something similar in one of our Assignments, so we applied that sense to this particular drawing. We were not still satisfied with the drawings we made but we were glad we made drawings.

When the results were out, I was happy to see a "C", seems the CA covered up for us. We faced a huge problem in our first year which was not reading up from the start of the semester which will make the workload a bit easier for us, but we piled it up till the Examination timetable was out and it was stressful for us to cover the whole scheme.

I seem to have found a way to opt out of that problem, In my second semester I started reading after each lecture which made it very easy to study for exams.
