Yeah athlete means athletic, disregard skill, work ethic, and intelligence. "I said athlete y'all"-SAS. Someone like Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps, LeBron James or Lamar Jackson are athletes. Being a passing QB like Tom Brady, it's sorta like playing baseball or golf with a the contact aspect as you might get tackled if you don't get rid of the football.
