Hello everyone On this occasion I would like to participate in a contest held by @natu-agriculture about Contest Week-2 /winners week-1: "Environmental protection and sustainable agriculture" here is my entry

Sustainable Agriculture & Technology Usage to Increase Productivity

Defining Sustainable agriculture as a farming system which will strike a balance between agricultural productivity, Environment and sustainability of an agricultural system + farmer welfare. The idea is to be damned efficient at using natural resources, waste and the ability of soil to work for next generation of harvests. Sustainable agriculture would mean crop rotation, use of organic fertilizers and different modern technology in more eco-friendly way to help agriculture to grow in same or maximum yield without spoiling future fertility level.

Before, technology was an aspect of agriculture but now it is an integrated aspect. In accordance with different studies, the technology component has been adopted by 50-70% of the agricultural sector being at different levels from mechanization to sensor based monitoring & up-to artificial intelligence (AI) for precise agricultural management. This technology is utilized by farmers to optimize yield whilst minimising environmental damages.

Technology can be scaled to application in agriculture based on the size of the operation and farmers' needs, at whatever technology levels. At the lower level, basic technologies for example drip irrigation or tillage tools improve efficiency in water and labour. Intermediate level: Use of moisture and plant health monitoring through drones or soil sensors At the high tech, high data analytics level — predictive farming: Predicting which way the crops are going to grow so we can optimize yields while consuming fewer resources in returns.

Technology in agriculture for sure gives us a lot of benefits like high productivity, water and Fertiliser efficiency, reduced manual labour etc.

But disadvantages are also present such as high initial capital expenditure, reliance on electricity and internet, challenges -not all farmers are technology ready. 🍑In my farming, I plow the field using mini tractor followed by automated irrigation for smart watering and watching plant health by drone. With the help of this technology, I can optimize agricultural output with less labor and more efficient water consumption.

that's all I can share On this occasion, I hope it is useful I would like to invite @teukuipul87 @assidiq @teukuraju to participate in this contest
