Hello everyone welcome to our application. As always, this time we have come to apply on behalf of the Nature and Agriculture community, this time we will try to learn deeply about the most important and deeper crops in agriculture. We will try to learn about plants and their activities there. Here we will teach how a plant in a crop conducts its life and solves its problems and completes every task of life. We will discuss and teach how deeply a plant goes into producing a crop and the processes that we cannot see with the naked eye. That means we will teach this engagement challenge about one of the best and highest ingredients of agriculture, plants.

Nutrients and raw materials, food and feed, and fiber are among the things that we contribute to agriculture and food security. Crop plants are majorly categorized into cereals and millets (wheat, rice), pulses (beans, lentils), tubers (potatoes) and oil seeds (soybeans). Irrigation methods applied in the growing of these crops to include planting, pest control, watering, and, finally, the harvesting process. New applications of biotechnology and improved practices in agriculture are for the purpose of increasing the production and adaptability of plants to climates. A mistake that is often made regarding crop plants is to underestimate the importance of biology and ecology in enhancing the productivity of agricultural crops.

Life only consumes food because organisms need food to survive, but plants and animals have a different process of food intake. Life requires different productions for its growth and nourishment. These elements are called plant nutrients, most of these nutrients are collected from the soil by plants, so they are called mineral nutrients. About 60 inorganic elements can be identified in plants and only 16 out of 60 elements are absolutely necessary for normal growth. These elements are required for normal growth, physiological function and reproduction of all types of plants. If any one of them is lacking, the plant shows its deficiency symptoms and male deficiency disease occurs. Among the 16 essential elements, plants take more of some elements and some elements take less The amount of minerals y can be divided into two parts: micronutrients or macronutrients and micronutrients or micronutrients. Plants produce food through the process of photosynthesis. All these elements must be used by plants for food production.

Homework task Students

  • Describe the nutrients and requirements of plants.

  • Explain about plant food production and food systems.

  • Choose a plant and write about its deficiency symptoms prevention and treatment.

  • Which of the 16 essential elements is most important and what causes disease?

  • Draw a detailed diagram and explain the process of photosynthesis in food production.

Another name for water is life, no living thing can survive without water. We know that protoplasm is the physical fear of living organisms. This protoplasm is 90% water. This is why water is called the fluid of life. If the amount of water is reduced, the protoplasm can become cultured and die. All the metabolic reactions in the plant body will stop if there is a lack of water. We only end up eating our crops, but at this stage we will learn how plants absorb water and do all their activities. There are different types of requirements to keep protoplasm alive. There is no substitute for water. In addition, water has many roles in plant cell growth and movement. The plant mainly absorbs its required water through the roots. A very small part of the absorbed animal is spent on the various activities of the plant. The remaining water is excreted through the aerial part of the plant. Normally the plant's theory process releases water by evaporating in its aerial organs. That is the process of evaporation or evaporation.

Homework task Students

  • Write about the gas exchange of man with plants.

  • Why does photosynthesis occur in leaves and not elsewhere?

  • Why is plant respiration important and describe its process with a specific plant of yours.

  • Mention the transport and requirements of drinking minerals in plants and their mechanisms.

  • What is the mechanism by which plants exchange gases to maintain their life and draw a diagram?

SEC S21-W3 | Details about grafting of plants

Untitled (1920 x 1080 px) (1920 x 1080 px)(2).png

Vining is the process of growing two pieces of plants from two different plants in such a way that they will cover form one plant. Thus, the working part, or the scion from the upper part, is joined with the stationary one, referred as rootstock or merely the stock from the lower part. This type of vegetative propagation is often used where plants develop poor-rooted cuttings or where certain desirable characteristics of two varieties are to be brought out. Vented grafting can improve disease tolerance, develop better quality fruits and culture different varieties from a single rootstock.

Grafting is successful when scions and rootstocks are from related species or cultivars so that the tissues will heal and growth will start. In this process; whip-and-tongue, cleft grafting, and budding are used depending on the type of plant and intended goals. Surgery has been used for many years still is one of the indispensable methods of agriculture and horticulture nowadays.I have grafted a plum tree at my house and the round tree fruit in the first state was unpleasant to eat so after grafting it was transformed into a tasty and better variety. In the third week, we will learn about grafting and then try to learn the steps.

Homework task Students

  • What is grafting, Have you seen or done grafting?

  • Grafting can be done on any tree and how?

  • Explain why grafting is important and its advantages and disadvantages.

  • Describe any one method of grafting that you know and draw diagrams there.

  • What types of plant grafting can and cannot be done with? Why not write the detail?

SEC S21-W4 | Organic farming methods for sustainable agriculture and environment.

For sustainable agriculture and the environment, organic farming is a natural method of producing crops that preserve soil health and biodiversity. Although modern agriculture has higher yields and temporary economic gains, its effects will hurt the next generation in the long run, with the effects of climate change, soil health crisis, and various human health complications already appearing. Organic farming is a method of producing crops naturally by reducing the use of chemicals. Current organic farming uses vermicompost and ketchup compost and animal manure processing to improve soil fertility leading to the cost-effective production of profitable crops. The demand for organic agricultural crops is constantly increasing because it is not harmful to the human body.

Homework task Students

  • What is the main objective of organic farming and it's the importance of organic farming to maintain soil fertility?
  • The role of organic agriculture for a sustainable environment? Explain why organic agriculture is not harmful to the environment.
  • What are the ways to control disease in organic farming? If you have ever resorted to such a method, how did you do it?
  • Why are organic crops more nutritious and healthier for the human body?
  • What do you think the government should do to make farmers interested in organic farming?

SEC S21-W5 | Integrated farming system

Integrated agriculture is an agricultural management system that manages various agricultural activities together. This system combines crop production, animal husbandry, fish farming, and other agricultural activities. Integrated agriculture involves growing different types of crops, animals and farming activities together. This approach increases agricultural productivity while protecting the environment and supporting the local economy. The main goal of integrated agriculture is to create a balanced and sustainable agricultural system, which is profitable for farmers and safe for the environment. Integrated agriculture provides non-vegetarian food. It provides an opportunity for farmers to develop a self-sustainable and sustainable agricultural system.

Homework task Students

  • Share your thoughts on integrated agriculture.
  • What types of crops and animals can be grown together in integrated agriculture? How do they connect?
  • What kind of preparation should the farmer take to start integrated agriculture?
  • What are the challenges of integrated agriculture and how to overcome them?
  • How farmers can get economic benefits through integrated agriculture

SEC S21-W6 | Collection, storage and marketing process of agricultural produce.

Untitled (1920 x 1080 px)(1).png

Harvesting and cleaning is very important after crop production. Not every grain of the crop is the same, so grading and removal of dirt or other debris is very important, which is done by skilled farm workers. Dry at proper temperature and store in a clean dry ventilated place to preserve the crop. Can also be stored in packets. Harvesting and storage is not the last task but getting the right price and marketing at the right time is also important. Even if the farmer produces more crops, he does not get a fair price for the middlemen, which results in the loss of the farmer. We will analyze all these issues thoroughly.

Homework task Students

  • Explain how you determine the right time to harvest any crop you cultivate in your country.

  • What method do you use to preserve the crop after harvesting? How long do you store it for?

  • What are the challenges in agricultural marketing in your area?

  • What are the benefits of direct marketing for farmers?

  • What to do to ensure seed quality and seed collection for the next period from agricultural produce.
