medicinal plants”
Introduction |
---|
Hello friends, I welcome you all to my blog. It is said that God created every plant for man's consumption and use. The plants can either be used as food or as medication. In my country, Nigeria, people value the traditional use of nature (plants) for the treatment of common sicknesses, though a lot of people also visit the hospital for scientific medical treatment. It is important to note that treatment of sickness in plants is as old as human existence itself, and it's still in use till the present time.
Lemon grass plant
🌿¿Do you have any medicinal plants that can be used for a health problem? Tell us its name and what disease you use it for? |
---|
Like I've mentioned above, there are many plants that are used for treating health problems.
Lemon grass: the leaves of the grass are cooked and taken as tea to cure malaria and cold.
Papaya leaves: you can cook the leaves and take them as tea any time of the day, especially in the morning, once a day, to treat malaria as well.
Miracle leaves: you can squeeze out the juice of the leaves and give a spoonful to children from 0 to 6 years of age to treat catarrh, common cold and cough.
Aloe vera: most times, people extract the juice of the plant and take a spoonful of it for stomach pain.
Moringa leaves: the leaves can be used to treat malaria and typhoid. I have also heard of it curing yeast infection. The leaves can be squeezed or blended to get the juice and be taken half a glass once a day.
Scent/mint leaves can be used as pain relief as they contain anti-inflammatory substances as well. Fresh juice from the plant can be taken half a day for 3 days.
Vinegar plant: It can be used to treat infection as it juice can be taken half a glass once a day. It juice can also be very effective in stomach pains as well.

🌿 Do you see any improvement after taking or applying this recipe for medicinal plants in your health? |
---|
Yes, I have made use of lemon, papaya leaves and moringa leaves to treat malaria several times, and it worked for me. For the miracle leaves, I use them regularly for my children whenever they have cold symptoms or even caught.
🌿 Do you always turn to medicinal plants first? Or do you visit the doctor first? |
---|
I use any of the two depending on which is available first. For the children, I used to spend so much on drugs before I discovered them and then planted them in my house. I use miracle leaves except for serious cases before I visit the doctor.
Vinegar plant
🌿 Show us a recipe that you prepare with medicinal plants and tell us what it is used for? If it is common in your country? |

Miracle leaf goats my attention. I could recall how my sister used this leaf to cure my headache oooo. It was indeed miraculous. However, one of the problems we have about these form of medication is always on the area of knowing what quantity to use and what quantity we need for usage.
Meanwhile, thanks so much for the invitation
Yes, the quantity depends on who is taking the medication, whether it's a child or an adult. The miracle leaves is very good for headache, fever, having difficulty in sleeping and my friend told me how she used it to cure high BP after spending so much in the hospital. She said she chewed 3 leaves morning and evening her BP got regulated.
I appreciate your kind comment, thanks for stopping by.
You just remind me of days my my dad used to add lemon grass to his tea everyday and then you wouldn't hear him complain of any fever of something of such, even vinegar self, my grandma used to squeeze the juice and add it to our soups anytime we visit her.
You sure know your medicinal plants my friend.
Thanks for the kind comment. Your dad knows the real medicine, do you know I used miracle leaves for my children and I've not bought any drug for them for months now? Honestly, nature works. Thanks for coming around my friend.
