After going through many steps, these nuts will become valuable.

Assalamu Alaikum friends,
From today, our work will start in full force on nuts. The workers will only pick up the nuts from our fields, we will have to do the rest of the work (drying work). We have been shaking the clay from the almond field since morning and letting it dry in the sun. We will first dry the nuts from our clay land in the sun and let our dried nuts dry.

We now went to our waterless almond field and let the nuts dry. We first cleaned the garbage in the almond field and then spread the almond trees in the sun. We will now rest for some time and drink water. The temperature in the sun has been above 34 degrees since morning.

Shaking to remove soil from nuts

We rested and returned to the almond field and started our second task. We shook the almond trees that we had let dry in the morning and let them dry again. The second time we did the raking, the soil fell off my almonds and the almonds got a good sun. We started the work of turning the almonds. We took a break at noon to eat and rest at the same time. When our daily wage workers went to eat, we also returned home.

Afternoon work

Afternoon we are back in the field to do the same work. We will now dry the nuts that the workers have picked since the morning. We have a contract with the workers to bring the almond trees to our garbage clearing site. The contract workers are bringing the almond trees from far away to one place with the baskets they bring. We are shaking those almond trees and spreading them around.

I tied a towel around my head so that sweat wouldn't get in my eyes.

I'm sweating profusely in the heat of the sun. I'm tying a towel around my forehead so that the sweat wouldn't get in my eyes. Sometimes I take the towel off my head and wipe the sweat.

I brought cold water from the fridge to quench my thirst.

When I come home from work in the afternoon, I bring a bottle of cold water from the fridge. I drink water whenever I feel thirsty during my work. Staying hydrated is very important in the intense sun and heat. I have to work and stay healthy.

The temperature of the sun is not decreasing even in the last hours.

We were in the field until evening and even though the daily wage workers had taken leave, the contractual workers were still working. I was with them until evening. I returned home and took a bath. I was tired and hungry after working in the scorching sun all day. My mother gave me biscuits and lemon water. I ate them. I am finishing my work today and will see you the next day.
