Assalamu Alaikum,
We had three potato plots, one of which was for seeds and the other two for sale. We sold 450 bags from one of the plots we cultivated for sale and got a good price as expected. But in the meantime, potato harvesting has started at a high rate and the potato cold storages have stopped taking potatoes, which has led to a decrease in the price of potatoes, so our potato harvesting was closed for two days, but after harvesting potatoes, we will cultivate almonds on that land, so we will have to sell the potatoes quickly. We sold the potatoes from the previous plot at 17.50 BDT but now we have reduced the price by 3.25 BDT per kg to 14.25 BDT. Today we will harvest our last plot of potatoes for sale.

We have started harvesting potatoes without any other workers as it has suddenly become a bargain. Today we have to pull the plough ourselves to remove the potatoes from our own potato line. We have tied a bamboo to the plough like a yoke on the neck of a cow and two people are pulling the plough, one is behind the plough and pulling the plough in the potato line. We did not get many workers today so we will not finish harvesting our potatoes today because of the shortage of workers. We will save the remaining work for the next day and increase the number of workers the next day.

We will have to stay in this potato field tonight to provide shelter. Today we have organized a picnic here, 5 of us will stay here at night and cook and eat lightly. I pitched a tent here in the evening with a tarpaulin made of sacks. Since we will cook here and it is the month of Ramadan, we will have to wake up again after half the night.

We will be bringing the market at 9 pm and we will cook with a brick stove in the field and use wooden sticks. We will first cook the rice and then prepare the spices for cooking the curry. We finished cooking at 11pm and sat down to eat and we all finished eating rice and curry on one time plates. We will spend the rest of the night here and start the potato work in the morning.
