Stunflowers

A few years ago, I stumbled across an amazing field of sunflowers that was absolutely breathtaking. As large as the field was, I imagine they were growing the crop for the seeds, or livestock fodder, or both!

Sunflower seed kernels are tasty to eat and sunflower oil can be extracted when the seeds are pressed, yielding a product that can be used for cooking and making cosmetics. Sunflower oil contains a good amount of Vitamin E as well as healthy (unsaturated fats) fats. [source] When my mother was alive, she bought sunflower seed in a bucket and put a scoop outside every day for the birds to enjoy — she liked watching them!

The field of sunflowers was so amazing, I decided to play with the photo and see if I could do something funky and cool with it. The otherworldly result is shown below, which I have titled "Stunflowers" because they're so stunning. 😁
