I have a feeling that Steele is a lot like Patterson these days where it is mostly just ghost authors that do the work for her. Either that or the stories are so cookie cutter that she literally just has to swap out some names, occupations, and locations for each new book :) You should definitely read some Clive Cussler stuff. Pretty formulaic, but good stuff none the less. My two favorite books of his are Inca Gold and Sahara (yes like the Mcconaughey movie, but the book is better). If you really get into it you might find yourself trying to read the Dirk Pitt books in chronological order. His newer characters are good too.
