Irrigation channels, apart from being used to irrigate rice fields, are also used by residents for their daily needs
Talking about watering plants makes me go back to my very happy childhood, when I was still in elementary school, every day after school I went to herd 14 cows.
We herd on the oil car road and there are lots of rice fields around it. When it's rice planting season and the rice is growing green, we have to take extra care of the cows so they don't eat the farmers' rice.
If that happens, we will have to pay for the damaged rice plants. At times like this, in the rice field area, there are irrigation channels that are very active to irrigate the residents' rice fields so that they do not dry out.
Well.....we children who were herding cows kept throwing ourselves into the water channel and bathing while we were herding cows, the very hot weather during the day made us feel at home in the water for a long time while swimming here and there.
The irrigation channels are used by residents to supply water to the rice fields and are regulated according to the required volume. When it is rice cutting season (harvest), the water is stopped. Previously, before irrigation, farmers could only go down to the rice fields during the rainy season, while the rest of the time farmers would plant peanuts, corn and so on.
After the irrigation system was installed, farmers were very happy because they could go down to the rice fields twice a year, because they could get the water they hoped for and the harvest was, thank God, very good.
