Christy finally went to Nigeria

A fictional story

It was rainy heavily in the morning when Christy's mum Sarah came to her room and woke her up. With sleep still in her eyes, Christy managed to sit down and she greeted her mum and asked her why she was smiling. Sarah told her that her dad finally bought a ticket for them to spend three days in Nigeria and Christy who didn't hear her properly told her is ok and laid down on the bed again and her mum was so surprised that Christy wasn't rejoicing.

Christy then realized what her mum just said and asked her mum if she was serious? Her mother repeated what she said again and Christy jumped out of the bed and began to run round her room shouting happily, her mother smiled broadly and told her not to injure herself.

Christy hugged her mum do tight and went to the sitting room where her dad was arranging some few documents and hugged him from behind. She thanked her dad so much and he carried her up and gave her a peek and she smiled more.

Christy is a Canadian girl who has been dreaming of going to Nigeria, most of her classmates in junior high school have been to Nigeria for some visit and that's the country one of their parents comes from but Christy was left out because her family haven't been to any country before except Spain but she wants to go to Africa like her classmates. Christy informed her best about this and her best friend was so happy for her and told her not to forget to take amazing pictures and gist her when she's back.

Two days later they were set for the journey and they took some of their luggage and went to the airport. Edwin who's Christy's father, is a Nurse in one of the best hospitals in Canada and he has always tried his best to convince Christy that she will go to Africa some day that she needs to be patient. They had a quick flight and they arrived at Abuja, Nigeria and Edwin met one of his friend Harry and he took them to do many places where they can have fun.

After giving them more details on how they can enjoy their trip, Harry left them to do some other work and assured them that he will meet them once they need his help. They stayed in a hotel and went outing the next day. They didn't go to the zoo as they went on a tour on three states in Nigeria, Lagos, Edo and Akwa-ibom. They saw alot of beautiful things in Benin, some old sculptures and paintings. The went to some wonderful beaches in Lagos and also some beautiful place in Akwa-ibom state.

The journey was very interesting, they went to a mini forest that's well reserved and they were together throughout the journey, the animals there aren't harmful as they are all trained specially and these animals are friendly, Christy played with a baby Giraffe and also a baby Deer, she was so happy and there were also other people in the place. They saw alot of things and took so many pictures together and also gave their camera toa young Japanese who came for tourism too, to take a picture of them together as they walk round the mini forest.

Christy finally came back to Canada after a very wonderful trip and she showed her classmates over 120 pictures, some of them were funny, she also took a picture of the baby Giraffe's face she wasn't happy that Christy was leaving her in the forest and Christy promised her she will come for her again in the future. Christy's parents were so happy to see their daughter cheerful and lively again because she has been very depressed for months.
