As-Salamu Alaykum (Peace Be Upon You)

I am participating this Hot News Community Contest - Steem Atlas VI. Thank you so much @fantvwiki for organizing this beautiful contest.

Today I will tell you about Diesel Locomotive Workshop. It is another massive railway workshop in our town. I have been to this workshop a few times in my life, and I can unquestionably tell you that it is stunning. Just like the Parbatipur Loco Shed office, it is very close to my colony; in fact, both railway workshops are located next to each other. Below, I have provided the Location Of The Diesel Locomotive Workshop.

Diesel locomotive workshop is the second largest railway workshop in our town. These railway workshops demonstrate how important our town is in the railway industry. Railway transportation has been developed in our town since the British era, and the railway routes in our town are still used to communicate with the major cities of our country as well as with our neighboring country, India.

It makes sense that our city would have a lot of significant infrastructure built around such a vital railroad route. Because of the important railway route that runs through our town, there were numerous locations where railway facilities could be built, potentially leading to the construction of massive railway facilities such as diesel locomotive workshops for locomotive maintenance and repair.

This image provides an overview of the workshop's structure. There is another section next to this section

The work that takes place in this workshop is divided into several sections. Each section has a different task. Today I will show you around the Mechanical Reconditioned section and a section next to it. I will try to show you the outside of the workshop in the next posts. One of my younger brothers works in the workshop's Mechanical Reconditioned section, so it was relatively simple to photograph various locomotive components and identify their names.

A view of the mechanical reconditioned section

Some locomotives were kept in the mechanical reconditioned section. As per my knowledge, whenever the locomotives have any problem or need to replace parts, they are brought to this workshop. In fact, compressors are often seen in this section.

Compressor machines are an important part of the locomotive. There are skilled staff here to clean, disassemble and replace these machines. Apart from the compressor, the mechanical section contains a pile of various types of parts for various functions of the locomotive. These are heavy and somewhat complex in structure.

It may be impossible to comprehend the number of different parts that a locomotive contains without seeing them. There is another section adjacent to the mechanical reconditioned section. I am not sharing the name because I was a little confused about how to pronounce that section. But I saw many train wheels here.

There are some wheelsets kept outside this workplace. There are many other types of equipment in this workshop which I may not have been able to take pictures of. To enter here you need to be someone who is working in this workshop or in Bangladesh Railways. Otherwise it is not possible to enter here. There is always security at the office gate. This workshop opens from 7 am and closes at 5 pm. There is a historical locomotive in the workshop. I will try to share some details about this locomotive in my next post.

I am inviting @lirvic & @chant to take part in the contest.
