1 Crore Award from the Ministry of Sports to the winning football team
Bangladesh women's football team, which won the newly cleared championship from the National Sports Council, has been given a prize of one crore taka. On October 31, Asif Mahmood, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, handed over the check to the captain of the victorious team, Sabina Khatun, after returning home from Kathmandu.
Thanking the team for this successful achievement, the adviser said, next Saturday, the chief adviser of the interim government. Muhammad Yunus will give a special welcome to the women's football team at his official residence Jamuna. Earlier on Wednesday, the Bangladesh team defeated Nepal 2-1 in the final held at the Dasharath Rangshala Stadium in Kathmandu and won the clean title. After returning to the country, the team was taken to Bauffe Bhavan by a reception in an open-top bus.
Apart from this, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a prize of Tk 2 million for the victorious women's football team. According to the notification sent by BCB, this financial assistance is being given in recognition of winning the SAFF title.
This achievement of Bangladesh women's football team is not only a glory for the country, but also an inspiration for women.
