How are you all? Hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah I am fine as well. Today I will discuss potato market price. Potato is one of our daily essential vegetables. Potatoes are cultivated once a year. Due to the large quantity of potatoes cultivated this season, the prices in the market are very low. This hut is located 6 km from my house. Lights are sold here two days a week. I went with my elder brother to sell potatoes in the market. I saw a lot of potatoes there, I took pictures and for quite some time I sold potatoes and collected the prices.

A large quantity of potato is exported from Bangladesh every year. But this year the export of potatoes from Bangladesh to various countries was stopped due to the lack of such favorable conditions in the world. Considering that the price of potato in Bangladesh is at the lowest level this year. The current market price of 40 kg of potatoes in Bangladesh is 250 taka or 14 steem. Nowadays farmers have lost a lot of money by cultivating potatoes. As the market price of potato is very low, the cost of storing potatoes in cold storages has increased.90% of households in Bangladesh consume an average of 250 grams of potato. So relatively more potatoes are cultivated.

I went to this potato market and sold the potatoes for 7 thousand rupees. Before the start of the potato season, some potatoes from Bangladesh go to Maldives and Nepal. Due to which the price of potato was high for some time but later on the price of potato dropped a lot due to no potato going out of Bangladesh. Due to the high price of potatoes last year, every house in the village planted potatoes in their own land this year. Due to this, the production of potato increased greatly and the market price decreased. But the cost of production is much higher than the market price of potato due to which almost every farmer incurs loss.
I have checked the situation of people from the potato market many times. They are working hard but not getting any money accordingly. At present there is a war so no country has been able to stockpile goods. The impact of such a situation in the world affects many countries, one of which is the market price of potatoes in Bangladesh.So I think farmers who are in good financial condition should collect potatoes. A lot of money can be earned by collecting potatoes. And then, if the world situation is good, the government will sell potatoes.Hopefully the farmers will get the value of the potato if they keep enough stock in the future.
