A Dolphin's View On The Powerdown Cycles!

I posted a shorter comment about this in a thread by @therealwolf but then I realized it was almost 4 months old so instead I decided to make a little post in the community to share it as well instead of leaving it in the depths of a 4 month old post.

I think the best way to appease the quite understandable desire of those people that wish a lower power down time and an excellent compromise in my eyes is to do the following:

  • Reduce the power down cycle from 7 days to 5 days, just like it was done with delegations.

  • Reduce the amount of weeks/cycles it takes to withdrawl all of your balance from 13 weeks/cycles to 10 cycles.

This effectively reduces the power down time from 91 days to 50 days and gives you 10% of your balance per cycle instead of 7.69% per week.

I think this is like the centrism of deals, its not as radical as 4 weeks but its not as long as 13 weeks. In fact, the entire concept of human weeks dissapears and I call it cycles because it sounded cool in Tron (the movie) and its still cool now :^)

These are just the views of a minor stake holder (around 33.8k when making this post) with plans to become at least an orca this year! What do you guys think

Interesting, I'm just not sure it is worth a difficult explanation.

Not opposed, just kind of stuck on keeping things simple since the differences aren't that big of a deal
