The Stock Market Is Not in a Bear or a Bull. It is in a Vulture Market!
I cannot invest in the stock market because i know what is going to happen. However, the steps i know that will happens will be finished in 50 years. Five decades from now. There is a lot of money you could make during that time. But there are so many black swans, crashes, closures, take overs, and things crumbling to dust where you can lose everything.
You might say, that right now, we are in a bear market, that is going up. But, really, we are in a vulture market where certain people are trying to clean the last bit off the corpses.
The stock market is a game of musical chairs. And there is one chair left. It has an obese bankster sitting in it. And when the music stops, we will find all of this out.
But before then, several of the Fortune 500 companies are just going to disappear. Implode. Be gone. Probably as early as next year. How do you deal with this? We have people that short stocks, but there is nothing in the models for going to zero almost instantly. Infinite gains and infinite losses only exist when there is enough liquidity.
And then we have that giant sucking sound, where all the liquidity is pulled out of the market. Many big investors are sitting in cash right now. (where did that cash come from? Japan?)

In the end
Corporations are evil. Externalizing costs and Internalizing profits. Just that sets up corporations to be bad. Further, corporations have two masters, the stock holders and the customers. The Bible says you cannot serve two masters, because you will come to love one and hate the other. How many people feel today that their cell phone provider hates them?
Further, many corporations are downright evil, doing evil things, like dumping toxic waste, and using lawyers to keep lawful people from stopping them.
In the future, people will not deal with companies that are polluting. Meaning, take care of your environment, or you will have no sales. And since these people will be mostly self sufficient and have many ways to live without the corporation. Most of the giant corporations just die.
Lastly, the idea of owning part of a corporation, and making money continuously off of that will make no sense to the people 50 years from now. The continuous growth model is now dead. It will be completely gone in half a century.
So, there will be no stock market. All gone. Even the idea of such a thing existing will be frowned upon.

Trust in the stock market goes poof
Cede and Company owns all the stocks in the stock market. You, with your brokerage (you're broke, they're broker) account owns a promise, on a promise, on an agreement to try to get you a stock at a certain price. Basically, if the music is still playing, they will continue to pretend you have a stock, and if they can't they will give you some paper dollars in exchange. If the music is stopped, there is nothing there. Its all gone. poof.
But, there is something worse. Stocks are oversold. If the stock market shut down and tried to audit who owned which stock, they would find that many people owned each stock that existed for trade. The entire market is built on corruption. And this corruption will be exposed.
The stock market will be shut down. And the banksters will try to say that Cede and company owns it all, and all y'all are shit out of luck. And then banksters will "throw" themselves out of windows on wally street. And then they will try to apportion stocks evenly to people who thought they owned something.
Of course, at this time, we will also tokenize and put on the blockchain, the stocks. Possibly with Veritaseum. Which is what it was designed for. They will go to Reggie and ask for him to save them.

The "Recession", I mean, the Greater Depression
Along with all of this, we will see the banksters try to repeat the great crash and the great depression.
So, expect the stock market to go down. And the banksters to try to buy it up at the bottom. Many people, who know this is coming may try to short the market. But shorts only pay if the other side has enough money, and doesn't see if they can fly in NY winds along wall street.
The real trouble here is Trump has gone in and thrown monkey-wrenches everywhere. So, i am unsure of the timing, or even if this will happen. Like, will anyone notice the stock market went down, when the FRN (Federal Reserve Note) goes to zero? (so the market went up?) And that playing against a treasury-issued-backed-note. Basically, instead of a crash, it might be a revaluation, and impossible to actually tell which way the market went.
Poor Soros, with all that money on the side, that is now worthless.

This is the future of the stock market.
Soooooo, lots of volatility to make lots of money on.
But, in the end, it all goes away.
The banksters are playing their old playbook, but the energies have changed, and they will end with nothing. And many people may lose their retirement accounts. (or not, Trump might save them! Or maybe it was bitcoin)
