Trace the design by yourself or use a stencil on fabric as I taught in the course in detail with step-by-step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of your work.

MY FIRST STEP

What I did first was to frame my white fabric for it to hold tight, I use pin to clip it well. With the video you will be able to see all the steps which I follow.
So the frame help to hold the fabric, then I place my carbon paper and I use my old design fabric to trace the design I needed. Why I use my old fabric is because I didn't see a stencil to buy, so my old fabric was a perfect option for me. So I carefully trace out the design, my design was a horse and butterfly.

SECOND STEPS WHICH I USED

Note my fabric is a white fabric and is pure cotton, as I was learnt that cotton fabric is the best option for this tasks and behold it came out perfectly well.

After tracing out the design I will be painting, I used two colors for this design, which is blue and black paint.

I use the blue paint for the horse and the black paint for the butterfly. My paint are water base.

So I carefully paint my design and it came out perfectly well.
As you can see, it was as if I am a good artist, one can't tell that this design was traced.

At this point my design was ready but I wasn't satisfied, so I hard to iron it after drying it on the sun. Though the sun was not too hard. So I needed to bring more beauty to my design, I hard to spray a gold shinning polish to make it my design more beautiful and attractive.

As you can see my design is ready and is beautiful. As a beginner, I am so proud of myself.

Did you face any difficulty during tasks or anything in purchasing materials?

Yes I face a lot of challenges while try to get the materials, in my city I don't think a lot of people really knows anything about fabric dying. I walk round alot of shops and I couldn't find colors but I was lucky to locate one shop and she told me that she doesn't sell them but use it for personal use, I had to beg her and at last she sold 5 colors for me.

Another challenge was getting a stencil, in all the shops I walk round, I couldn't find one, some designers told me that I will have to produce my own design by using a computer to design then print it out and use. Then while thinking, an option came up and I decided to use one of my old dress that has beautiful designs. Honestly I was satisfied with the design.

What do you think? Does fabric painting or any kind of creativity make you stress-free??? . Are you satisfied with it or not?

I am a lover of creativity so I don't see any atom of stress while panting my fabric, I see it as another level of reducing stress, and this method of tracing is so enjoyable, I don't have to stress myself thinking on how to arrive at the best result. Because of how stress free it was , I decided to make two designs, I was even thinking of doing more but I decided to just make two designs.

This is where I will stop, this challenge is an eye opener to me because I have learned this skill now which can be useful to me in future.
