Happy Chinese new year. The day of our relatives.
Hello all friends
Today is the first day of Chinese New Year. Or you can call it a family gathering. It's not strange because everyone comes back home to eat a Chinese New Year celebration meal like this every year before everyone else goes their separate ways. Some are relatives on my husband's side, some are on my daughter-in-law's side. As for me, I'm the eldest daughter-in-law, so I don't have to go anywhere. I stay at this house and take care of my relatives who come back home, help my mother-in-law cook, clean the house to welcome the new year. Today we had a meal together earlier than usual because my husband's sister had to go back to her husband's house in the province, which was about 4-5 hours away. My sister's family cooked food for us to eat at home. Today we made steamed bones to eat. I didn't have much to do except make some delicious seafood sauce for them to eat with the steamed bones. Because they like to eat seafood sauce made by a real Thai person like me, haha. It's something to be very proud of. Thai food is very satisfying.
After we had our meal and finished, the aunts and uncles started to give out red envelopes to their 6-7 little children because our family is a small family, not too bad, so it was a habit that I saw every Chinese New Year. The children were having fun receiving red envelopes. When they received the red envelopes, they would show off how much they had received, haha, it was really cute. After giving out the red envelopes, my husband's sister and 2 nephews went back to visit relatives in the province and would return on Friday. As for my sister's family and my brother-in-law's family, they were still at home to start eating and helping to clean up until everything was tidy and they went home in the evening. After the evening and midnight, only my family and my parents-in-law were left to worship at midnight. At midnight, it really welcomed the Chinese New Year. I could see fireworks scattered all over the sky with loud sounds. It took a long time for them to stop. Many people were playing with fireworks, but it was a good welcome for the New Year. I wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year. Thank you to my friends who stopped by to read my article today. I hope everyone enjoyed it. Thank you for following and supporting me so well. See you again in the next article. For today, goodbye everyone.
