From the photographs of this Chinese rose, I loved the colors of the petals against the blue-gray background of the leaves. You chose a great cover photo; notice how the shadows help the rose stand out.

What you could try next time: don't take all the photos from the same angle; try taking some from above or from the sides for a profile shot.
