Venice, strange weather dichotomy

These are two photos (a normal and a panoramic one) of the place where I live: Lido of Venice.
From Lido I can say I have the most beautiful view of Venice itself, in fact some mornings I can see the city with the Dolomiti mountains behind it (I certainly will post some photos of it).
The day I took these photos was very particular because, as you can see on the picture, there was a huge dichotomy between the left side, extremely sunny and bright, and the right side, with dark clouds and an imminent storm.
