Only these organic ingredients; aloe vera and calamansi (main ingredient). Also includes essential oils (olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil and avocado oil), distilled water, shea butter and sodium hydroxide.

1.) To start, peel the fresh Aloe Vera leaves then scrape/scoop set its gel and set aside. Then, slice the lemon or calamnsi to squeeze the extract and mince the peel thoroughly.

In saponifying proces, we need to not use the kitchen utensils that we are still using. Use those containers that are unused/old as it is dangerous to use it again for food cause of chemical reactions from Sodium Hydroxide.

2.) Next, weigh other ingredients (essential oils, water, shea butter and sodium hydroxide). This the very important thing to do to have the exact measurements to avoid any irritations and hair damage.

Note: We used triple beam blance for weighing ingredients. You can use digital weighing scale in your kitchen. Use gloves for mixing Sodium Hydroxide.

3.) After getting those complete measurements for all ingredients, pour in to a mixing bowl then mix until saponified.

4.) Afterwards, when the mixture is already saponified pour the essential oil (have your desired scent).

Added the calamansi peels afterwards to easily identified as calamansi soap. And of course, not just to have a presentable look but for additional organic benefits!

5.) Lastly, molded it in to a container/molder with the desired our shape then waited until few days/weeks so the lye will be perfectly set (product/result of sodium hydroxide when mixed with other ingredients).

Note: We purchased it for this shampoo bar making ONLY. Didn't use it in other activity such as cooking/baking. The advantage in using silicone molder is it's just so easy to remove the bar. You can order it online in a very cheap price.

This is best for home businesses, I swear! Hope this help you to learn on how to make soap. The procedures and ingeredients are the same in making body soap but use healthy fruits as main ingredient that can moisturize and rejuvenate your skin such as tomatoes and cucumber.

Note: Settle it for few days before using so it will surely dried and hard inside the soap.

This handmade soap is just so easy to make especially when you are really interested and happy to try it at home for self/family use or even for a small business. It is not necesarry to use aloe vera or lime for your shampoo bar. You can also try different organic ingredients or add some dried flowers to add scent and texture or beauty.
