According to the researchers who have published this statement, they believe due to the location and the angle and the orbit of these moons, that all of them come from a collision that occurred about 100 million years ago, which is a fairly short time for the history of a planet and curiously coincides with the date that some researchers give for the origin of the rings of Saturn, it is suspected that about 100 million years ago a moon of Saturn was disintegrated perhaps by the impact with a comet or an asteroid or with another moon of Saturn and it is those remains that ended up becoming the Rings that we see now, Saturn is also in the news because its rings are going to disappear.
