It all starts with a curiosity; The emptiness of the cosmos.

There is much more nothing than things in the universe, about 74% of the entire universe is what scientists call dark energy, 22% is dark matter and only about 4% is matter that we can see and touch, but even things when we look at them in detail are mostly nothing.

Most of an atom is empty space, to the point that if the nucleus of an atom were the size of a golf ball, the entire atom with electrons orbiting around it and all, would have a diameter of several kilometers, mostly empty.

The same thing that happens with an atom happens in the universe on gigantic scales, for example the solar system is not like in the drawings that we were taught in Little Ones, on a real scale we cannot see the planets because they are too small, compared to the distances between them, they are even smaller than the tiny points in the image and narrower than the thickness of the lines with which we represent their orbits.

Most of the solar system is empty, so in space no one can hear you scream, sound is mechanical waves that need matter to propagate, they cannot travel in a vacuum. If you scream in space you will hear yourself inside your space suit, but your screams will not come from there.
