It all starts with a curiosity; “The Blue Danube” will be transmitted to the cosmos.

Souce

The Blue Danube sounds in Stanley Kubrick's film 2001, a space odyssey, and they will be transmitted through the antenna of the Cebreros space station to the cosmos, to space on May 31 in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Strauss, the composer of the Blue Danube.

The piece will be performed by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and there will be free screenings in Vienna, Madrid and New York. Curiously, the 50th anniversary of the founding of the European Space Agency is also being celebrated, so it all goes together.

Remember that television and radio transmissions do not reach very far in space because they are not very powerful, they end up being diluted with cosmic radiation and within a soup of radiation, so there will be no aliens watching our television programs, luckily, but if a powerful signal like this is sent it can go very far, which I did not find if it was sent to a specific constellation.
