It all starts with a curiosity; Sunspot seen almost edge-on

This is quite impressive, it is a sunspot seen almost edge-on, it is approaching the limit, the sun is rotating and this sunspot is getting closer with the rotation of the sun to the limit, to the horizon of the sun, but look, it is sunken.

This image was taken on May 10 by Dave Wilson from Invernness Scotland, it shows this image of the gigantic sunspot 4079, it is as you can see approaching the horizon of the sun and the most impressive thing is that we can see how it is sunken because in theory sunspots are superficial depressions on the surface of the sun, they are depressions, they are sunken.

There are debates about why this occurs, but it is suspected that it is due to a complex solar climate system dominated by the magnetic energies that are around the sunspot and that cause it to end up sinking and creating this sensation of "darkness" in the spot.

This spot is no longer dangerous because it is going to the other side of the Sun, but it helps us to see what they are, which are depressions on the solar surface.
