Aliens Might Have Existed And We Might Face The Same Ugly Fate As They Did

For quite a long time now there has been a quest for the possible existence of extraterrestrials - Aliens, due to the fact that there are many other solar systems both within our galaxy milky way and beyond with possibilities of earth-like planets contained in them. Up until now there is yet to be a conclusive evidence for their existence, even though research is still ongoing .
A question once posed by the notable physicist Enrico Fermi was, where is everybody ?, which however is due to what is now called the Fermi Paradox.

Though there are possible explanations especially to the Fermi paradox, one explanation suggests that these aliens might have existed and gone on extinct. Their extinction could have been caused by factors that already exists in our planet even though they (the factors) are in their early stages and are capable of making all life on earth go extinct as well if we are not careful.
