Our Bangladesh is a developing country. The roads and streets here are not very modern. There are many educated people in our country, but there are also many uneducated people. Our roads already have a lot of traffic jams. On top of that, people do not follow traffic rules properly. Today, I will share some pictures of urban crossings from our country. These pictures might look very unusual to you.

infront of Knit Concern

I took this picture in front of a well-known knitwear factory in Narayanganj called Knit Concern. Around 15,000 to 20,000 workers work in this factory. When the factory closes for the day, the roads in front of it become very crowded. It becomes difficult for people to cross the road.

This picture shows one of the busiest intersections in Narayanganj—Chashara Roundabout. Four big roads meet here, making it a very crowded place. There is always a rush of people and vehicles. Sometimes, traffic police can be seen controlling the area. But most of the time, people cross the road however they can.

Busy Road

Now, I will share some pictures from Zero Point and the nearby areas of Gulistan in Dhaka, our capital city. When you see these pictures, you will understand how busy our roads are. People do not follow traffic rules properly. There are too many buses, CNG-run auto-rickshaws, rickshaws, private cars, and pedestrians crossing the streets. Because of this, there is always a big traffic jam.

The next two pictures are from two rich areas of our capital. I took these pictures while sitting on a bus at a traffic signal. In these two places, the traffic police were doing their job very well. That is why all the vehicles and people were able to move in an organized way.

In this picture, you can see two people crossing the road in a very dangerous way. We should all be very careful when crossing roads. I personally think that time is not more valuable than life. That is why I always try to follow traffic rules and cross the road carefully.
