Total dependent on God
Total dependent means there is no other way, no plan B, no alternative.
If you must depend totally on something or someone, it therefore means you have full trust and confidence in the person or something not to fail, disappoint nor forsake you.
You can't say you are totally depending on something but then look else way for solutions or make preparation for plan B in case the other doesn't work.
You can't pray not believing for the prayer to work and so you look for other alternative.
Same way you can't read and prepare for an exam at the same time you indulge in an examination malpractice. This means you didn't depend totally on your ability to write the exam and pass and so you had to execute plan B, another alternative.
This isn't what the Lord wants from believers, Christ followers.
He need you, He needs me, He needs us to depend on him totally in all facets and area of our lives.
He not only wants us to depend on him when we are seeking for job, admission, marriage, promotion, success in life, wealth, prosperity. But He wants us to depend on him totally in everything.
The Book of palmist says: (Psalm 121:1-8)
KJV:I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2KJV:My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3KJV:He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4KJV:Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5KJV:The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6KJV:The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7KJV:The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8KJV:The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
David wrote in Psalm that he will look up his eyes unto the hill, for his help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.
David knew where his help came from, he depended totally on God.
He never lifted one of his eyes up and kept one down.
He lifted all and fixed on God. All his trust and confidence was in Lord.
Would you be like the David in the bible, fixing your eyes on Jesus and totally depending on God?
Or will you still look for other alternatives? Making plan B?
Hebrews 12:2
KJV:Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Will you look unto Jesus now, the author and finisher of our faith?
Our Redeemer, our comforter
Will you trust and depend on God?
May the Good lord help us this day to depend on him totally. Casting all her cares on him without seeking for other alternatives and solutions elsewhere.
May He help us to put all our trust and confidence in him and fixed our eyes on him daily and everyday, all the days of our lives, in Jesus name, Amen!
