Humility Serves As A Guard

What's your level of humility?

We can draw a very good example from the life of Jesus Christ, the bible said He was humble to the point of death.

You say you're a Christian, the follower of Christ yet there is no trace or evidence of humility in you.
You tramper on everyone because of the things you have and own, the things you know.

Another person we can see in the scripture is Mordecai. Looking at the life of Mordecai, an ordinary gateman, he humbled himself till he was raised up
And that humility served as a guard to him.

Esther 2:21-23
21KJV:In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hands on the king Ahasuerus.

22KJV:And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name.

23KJV:And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.

Humility is a guard. Humility is a cover and a protection. Humility has a way of breeding discipline and discretion in human beings.

What about you?
As child of God, as followers of Christ, as born again. Are you humble before God?
Do you even have the spirit of humility in you?
Are you living a life of pride and pompousness?

Why not be like Jesus Christ our saviour who set an example for us, led a life that we ought to copy, imitate and follow.

The bible say that God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
He said we should humble ourselves before him and that He shall raise us up.

May the Lord give us the grace to humble ourselves before him and even before men in Jesus name, Amen.!

Stay Blessed.!
