1.But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

2.When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. ### 1 Isaiah 43:1

What an assurance by God through His prophet Isaiah to us this morning!

There's one thing that affects uss unknowingly at that is called fear. Fear to me is an accronymn for:

F - Following

E - Emotions

A - Above

R - Reassurance/Reality

The accronymn above is a summary of what I have to share.
You know, entertaining fear is on thing that exposes our weakness and makes us seem to be faithless. And the danger of being faithless is that it makes it impossible to have felllowship with God as recorded in the Scriptures.

For without faith, it is impossible to see (please) God.

God knew that many of us Christians would be struggling with fear, such as fear of what to eat or dring, fear of the unknown future, fear of death and the vunurability of human, thus He made a fear booster in the scripture to help us cope with it.

As it is now, I have searched the scriptures from the book of the beginnings Genesis to the last book of Judgement - Revelations, I discovered that there are more that 250 verses that says FEAR NOT. So I asked myself why the FEAR NOT was/is that much, then I had an insight from the reference verses that God gave out these words to help keep pur minds at rest that He has got our back.

I am really surprise how Peter, one of the Apostles of Jesus whom Jesus had given the keys to the church, had to entertain fear even when he was with the Master.

The scripture in Matthew 14:22-28 records that Peter was admonised by Jesus to join Him on the water where He walked towards them in the boat. Remember that Peter made his mind and walked towards Jesus and for as long as he walked by faith, he did not sink. However, when he started

R - Reassurance/Reality

The Bible says that he began to sink.

He had to cry out for help, and Jesus was right there in time to grab him so as to fulfil what is in the Scripture as recored in Isaiah 43-2a

2.When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.

Dearly beloved, I want you to go out with this assurance that God has got your back so you do not have to entertain fear of any sort.
