THE SOURCE OF POWER WITH GOD IS TO MASTER THE ACT OF PRAYER.

One great source of seeking to enjoy power with God, is to strive to master the act of prayer. Prayer is an expression of your total dependence on God. like the song writer rightly puts it – “pray as if on that alone, lies the issue of the day. Pray that help may be sent down, watch and pray”.

Jesus in His redemptive mission on earth, knew so well that there was no other way to go, seeking to accomplish His divinely appointed mission, other than to keep in tune with His Father Who sent Him. Holding unto God in the place of prayer is a proof that you cannot do without God. when this becomes the root of your quest for God; you will in turn discover that God cannot do without attending to you. He has you “tattooed” on the palms of His hands and your issues are continually before Him. Holding unto God concerning issues that are already before Him, warms you into God’s heart for the revelation of His glory.

Prayer is a mighty source of power with God. so much happens from the point men begin to pray. Complaining about the situation is one, talking about it is another; but praying about it, is what invokes the powers of the heavenlies and divine results come very handy. Don’t be deceived about it; a prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian any day, while a prayerless Christian remains a powerless Christian. The results from the place of prayer are results the enemy cannot gainsay or resist. Prayer remains a power pack opened to all true believers for gainful exploration. When you begin to explore the “power pack” made available in the place of prayer, you become a giant killer and you will rise to become a live coal, too hot for the enemy.

So much power awaits you in the place of prayer ready for display. When Peter and John were threatened to stop the further preaching of the gospel, they returned to their company and with one accord, they lifted up their voice unto God and “When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them” (Acts 4:24 & 33).

Imagine what became their dues from the place of prayer: “Great power and great grace”. These two are available today in the place of prayer; but, it will take people who will be able to subdue the excesses of the flesh and grab their dues from God through prayer.
