Because I often smile at her
She said I'm a shameless man
And look stupid

I brought a bunch of roses to her house
She even asked for rat poison to be sent
Clove cigarettes and nylon guitar strings

I wrote romantic poems for her
She thought the language was too complicated
Annoying and useless

I dressed neatly, dapper and expensively
She thought I was trying to collect debts

I begged every night
She didn't even bother to reply to messages

I got angry
She even teased and laughed
Exploding

I died of heartache
She drank rat poison to die too

God, why does
Love look so stupid
