"The Keyword of the Week"

Hello my steemian friends,

Today I am once again happy that I am here to participate in the "Keyword" competition full of great thoughts and knowledge of respected @weisser-rabe. Key word "FAST FOOD"

Nobody will believe that my father was a very senior government officer, but due to his strict rules, strict discipline, and strict control, we had only pulses, rice, seasonal vegetables, roti, milk, curd, and some traditional sweets in our diet, we did not even know the name of any food item available in the market. And to be honest, even though fast food has been in vogue in this world for a long time, but I came to know that there is something called "fast food" in the 2000s. And by this time I was over 40 years old and I also had 2 children.

Then fast food started taking over the traditional food of our world, fast food is the food prepared in a restaurant immediately. It is already prepared and is sold immediately after heating. Fast food is often high in calories, salt, sugar, and saturated fat. It lacks fiber, fruits, and vegetables. Burgers, chow mein, French fries, noodles, pizza, sandwiches, milkshakes, fried chicken, onion rings, chicken nuggets, tacos, hot dogs, ice cream, fish and chips and many more have entered our world as fast food. Many big multi-national brands have come to our country with chains of fast food outlets.

I apologize and say that I never liked these fast foods, and I have never even tried to know how they taste. I still have full interest in eating my traditional food. Today my grandson and granddaughter who are about 10 to 12 years old keep demanding some fast food from my son i.e. their father almost daily, and these “fast foods”definitely come to the house 3-4 times a week, but then to tell the truth I have not tasted any "fast food" till date. Neither do I know what all different food items are included in fast food. But my son, daughter-in-law, and grand children eat fast food very happily.

Now whenever we all go out for a family outing, if we feel like eating something at a restaurant or picnic spot, then our family orders two types of food, one is fast food, and the other is plain roti, or parantha vegetable etc.

My daughter-in-law is very interested in cooking and she has also created her own YouTube channel, so she keeps experimenting with new foods every day to upload various videos on this channel. Most of these videos are made on "fast food" only, but despite this I did not develop any interest in eating fast food.
