Before I begin the discussion for today, I will like to give a brief explanation regarding the term picnic for easy assimilation and accommodation regarding the said point of discussion.
WHAT IS A PICNIC?
A picnic is said to be a special coming together of certain individuals in a particular setting, mostly an outdoor gathering where individuals come along with various readymade food to share with eachother as they enjoy the moment while relaxing, playing games or even organising fun events.
WHO ACCOMPANIED YOU TO THIS PICNIC?
The picnic was for the graduating class and that was my set. My class decided to organise a picnic since we will not be seeing in class anymore as though everyone will go their separate ways. The picnic was organised to commemorate the moment of togetherness and unity.
Everyone in my class were present that day as we turned out in a particular outfit which is called the old school wear. This outfit was chosen specifically by the class leaders for the purpose of remembering the good old days. It was indeed a day to remember.
WHICH PLACE DID YOU CHOOSE FOR THE PICNIC?
The picnic was hosted in the school premises in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Kaduna state, the love garden precisely. It was hosted there in other to spice up the love among us and to set a legacy for our successors to follow. As the senior class of our time, we decided to do something unique that will ignite the glowing splint of unity in the department both amongst students and lecturers.
The setting of the place was carved out just as though it was the stone age era and since we already had a dress code, we decided that the event should take place in that same spot. It was spacious enough to take us all and we had fun.
TALK ABOUT THE MENU OF THE PICNIC, WHAT FOOD DID THEY SHARE?
The ladies brought different kinds of food and the guys came along with two drinks each. The reason is because since most of the male do not know how to cook, the ladies refused to entrust us with that portfolio so they went on to cook individually while the males were asked to come along with two bottles of drink individually.
We had all kinds of dishes such as rice, spaghetti, noodles, swallow even native dishes were brought to the picnic and trust me, all the dishes was nice and that was attested by our class captain as though he was incharge of the food and drink inspection. The ladies did well to have prepared the dishes because if it was left to the male students, most of us would have had running stomachs before the end of that day.
SOME OF THE GAMES AND ACTIVITIES YOU PLAYED AMD SHOW THE CHILDREN NOT LEFT OUT?
Well the picnic we had was just for a particular family and that is for my class. Non of us is married yet and as such we didn't come along with kids but then we played few games like pool, cards, and table tennis. We also had music going on and we all vibes to the songs that were playing in the background.
The game was carried out in badges and each game was paired by a male and a female student to play. If it was pool, the both parties will play simultaneously. It was all fun and no one was left out that day.
FUNNY ANECDOTES AND SPECIAL MOMENTS THEY EXPERIENCE?
Well, I could remember myself going round to take funny photos just to make my colleagues happy. It was indeed a day of joy as we mark the end of the academic session. People were smiling seeing me making funny style just to take pictures, it was indeed hilarious and I was happy that I put smiles on their faces.
I could remember how someone was so pissed off but looking at my direction made the person smiled and she came to ask for my contact wanting to be my friend and that was because I made her smile when she was at her worse.
It was indeed a day to remember. We had lots of fun and finally when everyone got tired we returned to our various destinations. It was so fun and I still miss them so much.
Thank you all for reading from me today and good luck to other participants.
