Minimalism Challenge: Less Tasks, More Life!
There’s this quiet ache I’ve been feeling lately, not the loud kind that screams burnout, but the silent one that whispers, “Are you living or just surviving?”

I wear many hats. I manage multiple social media pages for my husband, my business, and my storytelling brand. I write, I plan content, I show up online, I chase deadlines, I serve my home, I care for my daughters, I engage in communities like Steemit that give me meaning and creative space. And sometimes, at night, when the house is quiet and my hands finally pause, I ask myself: Have I really been present today?
🌿 Two Days in My Week (from Priority to Pause)
Let me take you through two typical days, say, Monday and Friday.
Monday (my “let’s go” day):
- Morning prayers + prep daughters for school
- Check husband's LinkedIn growth + schedule motivational post
- Create IIPM’s weekly social media post
- Edit YouTube Shorts for Soul Parables
- Write/respond to Steemit contest entries
- Engage on WhatsApp business groups
- Prep lunch + quick house chores
- Reply to clients’ messages + emails
- Outline new ideas for a long-form YouTube video
- Squeeze in AI image generation for branding
- Late-night brainstorm for healing journal content
That’s a lot. And to be honest, not all are urgent every Monday.
I would temporarily remove:
- Client engagement (unless urgent)
- AI visuals
- LinkedIn posting (some can be pre-scheduled in bulk)
Friday (my “admin & push” day):
- Project management Friday post for IIPM
- Respond to new followers/comments
- Personal journaling/reflection
- Editing Steemit drafts
- Membership campaign planning for Saturday
- Grocery run
- Prep for weekend family time
- Check daughter’s school bag + chat with her about her week
Here, I’d pause:
- Membership campaign (can be prepped earlier in the week)
- Engagement replies (limit to 30 mins)

🕊️ If I Had Only Three Months to Live…
No one wants to think about this. But if I were told I had just three months left, I wouldn’t spend them staring at my screen.
I would:
- Walk barefoot on cool grass.
- Hold my daughters tighter.
- Let go of performance and pick presence.
- Travel to places that whisper peace, waterfalls, hills, somewhere the sky feels close.
- Write stories and letters that outlive me.
- Spend time just sitting in silence with people I love.
- Make people laugh, hug strangers, share testimonies.
Because when death becomes real, only love matters.
💛 What Would I Keep on the List?
- Morning prayer + soul journaling
- Creating my healing journal and YouTube channel
- Time with my daughter (no screens, just us)
- Writing from the heart
- Intentional conversations with my husband
- One call or text a day to make someone smile
I’d add long walks, more art, more nature, more being still.
⏳ How Much Time Could I Save?
Honestly? At least 4–5 hours a day.
By removing tasks that feel urgent but not meaningful, I could breathe more, laugh more, live more. I don’t need to always be online. The people who need my work will still find it. But I won’t find myself if I never stop moving.

🌸 Final Words
This challenge shook me in the best way.
Minimalism isn’t just clean spaces or fewer clothes; it’s choosing what truly feeds your soul. For me, it’s returning to the things that make my heart feel full: faith, family, storytelling, and helping others heal.
Sometimes, less doing = more living.
So today, I’m choosing to slow down. Not because I’m lazy, but because I want to feel alive again. I hope whoever reads this remembers: You’re allowed to rest. You’re allowed to breathe. You’re allowed to live.
Thank you @mile16 for this reflective contest.
Bendiciones.
