I used to think traditional games is only played in my country, little did i know it is played everywhere around the world, during my childhood traditional games can make us forgot food because the fun in it is heavenly. Immediately I saw this lesson I flashed back to some unforgettable memories. Let me show the fun I had with my children and my neighbor's children that heard our voice and joined us.
What is the name of the traditional game you selected? In your own words, explain how to play. 2 points
I choose the these games below.
- Clapping game.
- Wheel barrow game
- Ayo
- Tug of war.
This is a game played by two or more people ,it played by clapping and changing hands in a rhythmatic way .
This game is played by holding someone's two legs up while move like a wheelbarrow to a particular direction.
This is played by two ,three or four person, the seed from the hole will go round
This played by two or more person's while dragging something to get the winner.
What are your rules? Did you make any changes to the rules to suit you? 1 Point
The rules of the games are different which make them unique, for the ones I choose. Their rules are.
- Tug of war: Anyone that crosses the line wins
- Wheelbarrow game: if any one can get to the gate like a wheelbarrow he takes the drink kept by the gate side.
- Clapping game: If anyone fails the clapping rhythm she is out for replacement.
- Ayo. If your houses(the holes are classified as house)are taken you are out.
These children are very smart and intelligent, infact I have forgotten some of the rules of the game, I was being caught up by them. In some ways I influenced the rules so that they will not laugh at me. They discovered my tricks and was shouting mummy is cheating hahahaha how can these children win me on this game I'm born with.
Of the characteristics of traditional games that we have discussed, which ones do you think are present in the traditional game you chose? 1 point
This game is very simple and the things needed are just chairs. We didn't go far to source for items to use we made use of things around us.
The music used is very calm and audible for everyone to understand. This game is still present and I recommend it to anyone.
