SLC S21W2/ Physical Activities for Child Development
Hello Steemit friends, welcome to my blog. It's another week with an exciting topic Physical activities for child development
We selected the flexibility physical activity in which we practised yoga to improve their balancing and flexibility to carry out other physical activities. While we practised yoga, the kids knew how it's done, so they were actively involved and told me how important yoga is to develop their muscles for good posture as they have been taught in school.
We also selected Aerobic physical activity in which we played and threw the football. It helped them improve concentration, and the kids were happy as we practised it.
Endurance physical activity was also selected where we practised the stationary bicycle. It was fun and engaging for them as they saw how fast they could go and their level of endurance.
During the activity, their mood improved and they were laughing and smiling all through the activity time. It was more like a play and fun time for them since they were having mixed activities. They enjoyed it without being bored and were happy to engage more.
After the activity, they requested the activity should not stop, asking me to play again even when I got tired.
For their energy, yes, I think they used energy. Although they were enjoying it and asking for more when we stopped, I noticed they were breathing fast and sweating.

Yes, it was more like a fun time to them because they didn't see the activities as just exercise. They saw them as being fun and engaging.
I think children focus on the fun and enjoyment they derive from any activity they are involved in rather than the competition and their curious nature of wanting to explore. Physical activities also thrill them. The children enjoyed it! For them, the physical activities weren't just exercise; they saw them as fun and exciting ways to engage with each other.
In my experience with the kids, when doing the physical activity, I noticed that they were more flexible than I was. I got tired easily, but they endured more, and it looked enjoyable and bearable for them.
I also noticed I created a memory for them as they kept discussing the physical activity, how they enjoyed it, how they were going to do it again, and how they would tell their friends in school about it and laugh about how I got tired before them.
These are some of our videos and photos of the physical activities we did. It was fun for the children as you can see from their laughs and smiles.

Conclusively, physical activity in children should be encouraged in school and at home because it aids their muscular development, providing opportunities for trying out new ideas, improving their control skills and flexibility and improving overall physical development.
