Steemit is built on Steem Blockchain.
Other social media are not built on any blockchain.

Yes steemit is a decentralized social media platform and it was built on blockchain that means all the data saved of steemit on the blockchain and visible to everyone that is a great thing. Thank you for sharing with us. Best wishes for you.
