Electricity Sparked, Heavy Rain and More on my Workplace
One fine afternoon, the rain poured out. We were chilling inside the office, doing our work with my co-workers and then suddenly, the electricity sparked and darkness is in the building.
Our plant manager ran out, confused about what he had to do then I shouted, ang planka sir! ang planka sir! (planka is the Bisayan term of the control panel of the electricity in my locality). Then he asked me, "asa man ang planka?"
I answered "triple R(the security guard) knows"
I laughed inside because he was overwhelmed by the happening that he forgot where the electricity control room was.
The building smelled of burnt rubber, imagine how painful is that on my sinuses. so I went to the smaller room and isolated myself there, opening the window for fresh air.
Back on the place where the electricity spark happened, the maintenance supervisor came and cut the part of the wires by elevating himself in an aluminum stair. Despite the smell of the burnt rubber, they stayed there and did chitchat, watching the man do his job. I do not know what their sinuses are made of that they can bear the strong smell. I wonder if they know that the smell can harm them.
Sir Thommy used his flashlight to light sir Nixon's work, he has lots of flashlight stocks because he sells them back in his home, he orders these online.
Here is what caused the spark. Thin wires heated and almost caused a flame. Good thing the area is made of concrete materials and has not done any further damaged. The photo was blur because I too it while he was peeling it off from the wire protection. In the later investigation, it was found out that the upper occupants of the office cooked porridge using an electric stove and the wire overloaded and gave up. In fact we were given the porridge after the incident.
I looked out of the window, trying to capture phone signal so I could be productive with my time, I noticed my little finger has a pain near unbearable. It was deformed due to the phone's weight in holding it always. Then the need of having a phone ring holder surged.
Then I saw a frog outside seeking for shelter during the rain. It poured heavily that the sewer where it lived overflowed causing it to search for a new one.
I couldn't get a good internet connection so I decided to take a selfie instead and take lots of photos to post later when I have the time and connection.
This is how the heavy rain looked outside.
A little later that the event was over and the bad smell of the burnt rubber is gone, I returned in my chair and finished all my work in the remaining time with no lights. The rain then stopped and my husband was able to get me and take me home.
All in all, it was still a beautiful day, and I have God to be thankful for.
Thanks for dropping by and have a great day!
