Death & Flowers

Here I am again! Did you miss me? It was a bit lonely during the winter I was all alone and hadn't a single visitor.
He looked a bit funny but the families in the city park didn't care that he was different after all it was a warm spring day. A day good to wear only a t-shirt and smell the air of spring flowers.
The picnic basket was packed and everyone was in a good mood. There's nothing like stuffing yourself while others watch, said John
Madeleine agreed, that crazy covid-19 had lasted long enough. She had never been able to taste the cheese, cake, whipped cream, lemonade and pie because of that stupid virus.
It was all a scam, said John who poured down some more coke, don't be such a wimp Mad, it's all in your head.
He thought the cheerful guest who looked a bit swollen was quite funny. Feel free to join us for dinner, said John, are you the clown of the city park. Sure, chuckled the uninvited guest. It's super cozy here and I'll stay until the end when there's no more man or dog left.
Let's toast to that, said John as he raised his cola glass and popped out the piece of lemon with his little finger. He didn't like sour surprises and Madeline should have known that long ago.
Before he could utter a word, his head and heart were pounding in sync and after a stab in his side he threw in the towel.
Death had finally got his way.
