My Painting
Once upon a time, before the arrival of the internet, I did a bit of sketching and painting in my spare time. With the arrival of the internet, that pastime was set aside. Like so many others that are addicted to the net, I find myself not having the time to paint.
Recently, I thought of picking up painting again. I bought some basic art materials necessary for painting to try and see if my interest is still there.
And, here I am with my first ‘test piece’. What do you think? I painted this from a photo I came across on the internet. I know, it’s a very basic piece. I didn’t want to pick one that is too difficult in case I got discouraged and gave up painting forever.

This is a very beautiful art. You are a master artist. You have done a great job. Keep up the good work and show us such good sketches. I don't know much about art, but there are some pictures that make us mesmerized. This painting of yours is one of those, and I kept looking at it for a while.

I believe it looks good and it's great you started again. I tried but it was too cold inside the house. Now there's a bit sun and I spend more time outside to catch up on gardening. I hope in a few weeks to be able to paint again although most likely it will be the roof and the walls of the house.

It looks great. It's great to rediscover the roots. And, as you say, I don't know why, the internet has brought good things, but it has taken away very important things. It reduces human beings to a system of obsessive consumption and takes them away from healthy things. Painting gives peace. Reading gives peace. Both are ennobling. Both provide beauty, to the one who consumes them and to the one who creates them.

It's a dope seascape painting, he controlled the pigment so well, it's just the sense of distance in the painting, I think he could have added some more lighter values in the skyline.

For a moment I thought you were painting on pressed wood, plywood. Did you do a sketch before you started or did you use something as an example? I must say you are yet another person who says he hasn't painted for years but is very good for someone who says he can't do anything and just keeps it basic. Maybe you should join the Art and Artist community to share experiences with the other artists? Your painting sure brightens things up. The water splashes off the rocks. What is your next project?
If it comes to internet/computers I started as a 2-year old, am still using it, my eyes are fine and my life didn't change because I schedule what I like/want to do.
