Our pastor while preaching the gospel

It’s Sunday. Time slows down. We set aside the usual rush, wear presentable clothes, and come together as one. We make time to go to church. Together, we pray that our family will have good health and peace. Also, for our home safety.

Right after breakfast, my child said, “Hey, it’s Sunday today, just in case you forgot!” Maybe he is excited to see his little friends in their Sunday school. Kids at our church have a designated area where they meet on the second floor. So that they can't disturb the adults during prayer. My little one arrived in church ahead of me. He just couldn't wait. Good thing our church is within walking distance from our home. So it’s totally fine if he goes there ahead of me! I. Any way he will see me if he gets hungry for a snack.

I liked our pastor’s sermon today. The topic was about family and forgiveness. I caught myself wondering… Have I truly forgiven those who wronged me? Just like how God forgives us, especially when the ones who hurt us are family.

Pork Liempo or grilled pork belly.

After our Sunday service, we walk back home. Usually on Sunday, it is my older son who plans our food. He told me that he wanted to have a pork “liempo” or grilled pork. The pork liempo seller was far from our place. He needed to ride a jeepney to get there. Because it’s what he really wanted to eat, so he went for it. No matter how far it is! Also, in my mind, I was hoping he’d buy some... because hey, I love pork liempo too! This liempo costs 270 pesos or 38.51 in steem. I really don't regret buying it. Because it is very delicious. Even with my youngest child, who is very picky with food, whenever pork liempo is on our table, he finishes plenty of it.

At the nail parlor

After lunch, I gave my husband the look. ‘Nail salon?’ I asked. He just nodded, he knows the drill. My nails are starting to itch so bad, it actually hurts. Definitely time for a proper cleaning. We got lucky, there were only a few customers when we arrived in the area. When my husband saw there were only a few customers, he decided to get his toenails cleaned too. In our place, the pedicure (foot nail cleaning) costs 100 pesos or 14.26 in steem.

Fried chicken

Night came, and I was cooking buttered chicken as requested again by my son. I can never say no to them. Even though sometimes I get tired. Rather than keep buying outside, I'd better prepare food at home. Here, I always make sure the cooking is clean… and tastes just how they like it. You know, kids... This is one of their favorites. “Yey, it tastes like Jollibee (the famous fast food here in Pinas)... with their famous line. They were just teasing, of course! You know how cravings go. Wishful thinking makes everything taste a little more special! 😊

That's how my day ended.
