Application For Steem Representative

Prerequisites

Despite the low SP, in addition to the fact that several people have suggested (read: successfully provoked) me to apply, with various considerations, I decided to run for SR. The discussions were interesting because some of them were SRs and former SRs. I was able to see various aspects from their point of view regarding their position as an SR.

My personal evaluation that defines my eligibility to apply (apart from the SP aspect which was below the minimum required):

1. Active on the platform for at least the past 6 months.
   • After being dormant for 2 years, on 1 July last year (10 months ago), I bought and Powered Up 374 STEEM after discovering that my wallet had been robbed by someone (@mxcsteem) and uploaded my first post after my hiatus 5 days later. Since then I have written 126 posts for the rest of 2024 (averaging 21 articles per month) and for 2025 to date I have written 82 posts (averaging 15 articles per month) in various categories: contests, reports, community, free write, fiction, and so on. During those 10 months I have maintained club100 and have managed to have 14,269.87 Own SP.
     
   • The end of 2024 has been the beginning of my experience as a Steemit Community Curator with Team True Colours 2, and to date I have been involved 4 times in this activity. I am currently a member of Team True Colours 5 (steemcurator08), and in relation to this activity, a website - https://truecolours5.netlify.app/ - has been built that provides information in an open manner (transparency) to all those interested in the activities of Team True Colours 5 (community curator May 2025), especially for each member of Team True Colours 5 to get an up-to-date picture of the statistics of curation activities and thus be able to strategically plan the next steps of curation.
     
   • Have organised several writing contests, both privately funded and with other Steemians and on behalf of the community, including co-hosting #miner-wewrite (a 4-week writing course + contest patterned after #learnwithsteem).
   • Moderator, Steem SEA Community;
   • An early board member of the World of Xpilar Community Telegram Channel as a Moderator in charge of providing assistance to Steem users, especially newcomers;
   • I built an online quiz-like game “Blockchain Quiz” (https://blockchainquiz.netlify.app/ ) which is currently in earlier version and will be updated through time, with a plan to have a Steem version.
     
2. A reputation of at least 70.
   As of this writing, my reputation stands at 75,147.
3. Have a CSI and voting pattern that clearly demonstrates that they are already supporting other Steemians across the platform.
   At the time of writing, I have a CSI of 13.3 (0.00% self, 131 upvotes, 44 accounts, last 7d).

As of this writing, 52 accounts have applied. The Country, Gender, and Club composition of the applicants can be seen in the three tables in the following image.

52 applicants, and there are only 20 positions to fill. The 52 applicants came from 12 countries, and interestingly without representatives from the UK, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, China, Japan, The Philippines, Thailand. I am from Indonesia, but -if elected- I will also work especially for Steemians from countries that do not have SR, I think my 4-time experience as a Community Curator will do me great deal of help in doing this.

Why I Think I Qualify As A Steem Representative

There's not much I can say, but among the few, internally I love almost all aspects of Steem and have a passion for learning about it. And this often helps me answer questions from Steemians (externally).

I realise that for some users, especially new comers, account growth can be very difficult, this is not a conclusion that comes out of nowhere, every one of us who started from scratch on Steem knows this. Having said that, together with two other Steemians (@anroja and @wakeupkitty) I have been running a Programme called #SSEA-MINER (Steem SEA Minnows Helpcare), which provides assistance in the form of SP delegation of up to 300 SP to Steemians who have Own SP below 300 until they reach 500 Own SP or until they repeatedly fail to meet their obligations. The programme, now in its 10th month, has produced 5 graduates: @seribubulan (Indonesia), @sumarni123 (Indonesia), @ramadhayani84 (Indonesia), @almaguer (Cuba), and @ronnie10 (Latvia). The programme is currently running with three beneficiaries: @tonyoi23 (The Philippines), @husnie.plb (Indonesia), and @bisdako (The Philippines). So far, in its almost ten months of existence, a total of 23 Steemians have joined the Programme. The Programme has a website at https://ssea-miner.netlify.app/.

The SSEA-MINER programme not only offers SP delegations but is also ready to answer questions asked by beneficiaries, especially when they are newcomers who still lack knowledge about Steem.

So, if the expectation is to be active and willing to help other Steemians (especially newcomers in their SteemJourney), that is something I have been doing.
