Did you know that in Indonesia, orchids are known as "puspa pesona" (charming flower). Plants belonging to the Orchidaceae family include the moon orchid, which is one of the largest plant groups.

This is stated in the journal "Orchid Progress and Biology: Biotechnology Achievements, Translational Success, and Commercial Results." The journal was written by four authors, plant experts, including Pragya, Abhishek, Subir, and Kyeung-II.

Moon Orchid Habitat

Moon orchids grow in lowlands. This plant adapts by thickening its leaves to reduce evaporation due to high humidity.

However, the moon orchid's natural habitat is under trees with ample sunlight. This is also why the moon orchid survives in extreme weather.

The Philosophy of the Moon Orchid

Known as "Puspa Bangsa," the moon orchid also reflects luxury, strength, and beauty. This name comes from the Greek word "orchis," meaning testicle, which symbolized strength and fertility in ancient Greece.
