My visit to Surathali Ella (waterfall)- Belihuloya, Sri Lanka

In the past year, I traveled to visit Surathali Ella with my colleagues working at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. We started the journey from Sabaragamuwa university and 12 of my colleagues joined the journey.

We traveled nearly 7km from the university by bus and we reached the entrance to the waterfall lying near the Badulla-Colombo road.Thereafter we traveled few meter on a footpath to reach the waterfall.We had to pass a creek before reaching the waterfall.

The best viewpoint of the waterfall lies on the top of the waterfall.We were able to see landscape around the waterfall after reaching to the top.Also, at the top we were able to get closer to the waterfall without any trouble as it is a small waterfall.The rocks were slippery, therefore we were very cautious when we climbed to the top of the waterfall.

As a matter of fact, Surathali ella is one of the best places, I have ever visited.Even though it is a very small place compared with other locations in Belihul Oya, I highly recommend you to visit.
