Al Amerat Road |Battle month|10

Hi Steemins…✍✍✍

How are you all doing? I hope you all are well with this extreme Covid-19 condition.

Today, my topic is about landscape photography. So I don’t have much experience in this subject and had to join with my friend Sidath who does this subject in such a professional way. The time that I used to spend with him is not a waste at all and it helps me get vast knowledge of outside my profession.

Actually our main intention was capturing the sunset at the Al Amerat view point. Al Amerat view point is a famous place which is located over the road at mid of the mountain and it is very famous among all tourists and they love to be here when sunset happens. The shape of the road is so attractive and I love to drive through this road. This place is not far away from our city but it is always a waste of a journey to go there from my point of view. None of vehicles are allowed to stop while driving toward the mountain and we have to drive approx. 10 km in-order to make a "U" turn at the nearest roundabout. This how I mention it as a waste journey.

The journey happened a couple of weeks before and our schedule was to start from our homes at least 5.30 pm. But we were almost 30 minutes due to unavoidable reasons and also had to waste nearly ten minutes at the roundabout due to traffic constrain. However, we could reach our destination along with the darkness and we were late to capture sunset. So, this is how we were about to conclude our session but Sidath told me to get some captures of road views.

As advised by him, I just adjusted the camera settings such as ISO, shutter speed and depth of field suiting to night captures and did take some clicks. I thought this was a waste of effort but I was surprised when I opened these photos from my computer.

Edited photo which I have taken
However, we were not able to achieve our main target and re-scheduled to visit there again. Let's see whether we will be able to get this shot while sunsetting.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you will revisit again.

Though you were unable to catch up with the sunset pictures, I think the pictures you have taken of the roads, were quite amazing. This road picture reminds me of the 18 bend road at Mahiyaganaya.

Yes. I hope I will. Thank you for your kind response and it's not difficult to learn and just one day of practice is sufficient to manage the beginning. Thereafter we can enhance the skill gradually. I wish you to achieve your ambition soon.

Wow that edited photo looks so great that it reminds me of lanscape photos I have seen on cards and pinterest. Will look good as a wall paper or desktop background.

Your next capture with the sunset will also be as great as this one for sure.
