RE: 2024 Ballon d'Or: Biggest Win, Biggest Win
As good a season as Cole Palmer had, I think that his lack of game time at the Euros will prevent him from winning it. Sadly, Southgate's decision not to play him more meant that he couldn't prove himself at the highest level, on the biggest stage.
Haaland might have a similar problem, with Norway not qualifying and also having a poorer season than 2022/23 (yeah - crazy high standards!) It could also be argued that Phil Foden had the better season at Man City.
FIFA like to follow the populist path and I expect them to go with one of the Spanish players after their dominance at the Euros. For me, this points to either Nico Williams or Lamine Yamal.
I didn't see any of La Liga (only the Premier League), so hard to comment on their contributions in Spain - Vinicius Jr. always stands out to me.
Who would I choose? Not a Scooby.
