I think it's a good move for him. Despite coming through Chelsea's academy, a lot of Chelsea fans haven't warmed to him - perhaps he's either not exciting enough for them or they don't appreciate the job he does for the team. Last season, he outshone all other Chelsea Midfielders for defensive actions - given that half of them cost roughly £100m, he's clearly not the one that they should be selling.

But they are and I fully expect Diego Simeone to take him to the next level - something that I doubt Maresca would've been able to do.

Absolutely. I believe that's why he's also mad at the kind of deal he was offered, compared to what those other guys have.

I hope he finds his charm in Spain.

The way @reservedsingle explained his gameplay, I am damn sure that Simeone will make him a beast like Paul.
