Sports Betting

We have a sports betting house here in town, a lot of people i know have had some good wins, so I decided to give it a shot. I did not try with a lot of money, so far I have bet eleven times, with each time being a one dollar bet. I mean the payback can be good, if you hit it off with 15 games, which is the maximum you can bet on, you can get over $500.00. And being a very knowledgeable football fan (I think) I gave it a go.

My first bet I tried with twelve games, and you know I hit the first eleven only to lose on the last game. The next seven bets I lost on the first game so I didn't even flinch. On the ninth bet, I went Ok, but I bet on Aruba against Sint Maarten. This was a mistake, I did not do any research and it turns out Sint Maarten has been much better than Aruba lately, so that is the reason I lost that bet.

So on my tenth bet I researched, bet on ten teams of which nine won. The tenth, the DR of the Congo played Ethiopia, first place in the group against the last, a team that hardly scores any goals. Surprisingly Ethiopia won 1-0, that sure surprised me.

Well things being like that I decided to bet only on five teams, sure bets, to at least win once even if just a small amount. So I bet on Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and French Guiana. Again surprisingly Colombia lost against Ecuador, and French Guiana drew with Belize, so I cannot even win betting on only five games.

I still have 25 Lempiras in the betting house, I will go all out betting for fifteen teams this weekend. After all since I am going to lose, I might as well lose big. And that will be my last sport bet with real money.

Sort:

It's so difficult to consistently make money from betting - the bookies are so good at setting odds and then with the overround, you need to look at multiple bookmakers to reduce their edge.

Then if you do consistently win, they'll ban you anyway.

I'll just quit, I don't see any way I can beat them at that game.
