My cat also doesn't give a shit about anything noisy, but she's got dementia, is 19 and completely deaf.
The dog gives me little attention too unless the conversation is food-related. He's well used to listening to Opeth played very loud.

I don't think the cat is deaf, but they can be selective about what noises spook them. She is pretty jumpy generally. She's about 13.
